The harbour
Arriving at Foynes
Foynes is located on the south shore of the Shannon Estuary, approximately 40nm from the sea. The harbour is sheltered in most conditions and well marked throughout.
The approach from the west is straightforward in good visibility — follow the main shipping channel and branch south for the town quay. Contact Foynes Port on VHF Channel 12 before entering.
Visiting boats should make contact with the club by phone or VHF on arrival. We'll do our best to find you a berth and get you settled in.
